In order for Surf Sense to provide the latest pre-configured search engines, it makes a call to the Rosetta Software website to access updated start up parameters. If you do not wish to benefit from this feature, simply configure your firewall software to block the program.

It does not communicate with this or any other website. If the Word Recorder feature is activated (the feature is inactive by default), none of the words the program listens for are logged in any way, nor sent to any third party program or website. When you exit the Surf Sense program, or the machine is shut down, any previous words in the Surf Sense word list will be lost.
